Alfredo Mendoza, 79, of Beach Park, IL passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at Alexian Brothers Hospice in Elk Grove Village, IL. He was born in Mexico on October 26, 1939.  Alfredo was employed as the Chef of the Nite 'N Gale Restaurant for many years, and later worked in the Delicatessen Department of Dominick's Fine Foods. He was  kind, loving and happy and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.  He was forever ready to help those around him, always putting others before himself.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Isidra, his children; Guadalupe, Gabriela, Naria, Alfredo Jr, David (Melissa), and Jose (Sarah), his seven grandchildren, and many other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 25, 2019 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM here at the funeral home.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 26, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Queen of Peace Church, 910 14th Street, North Chicago, IL.  He will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
