Angela Govekar (nee Mickus), 86 of Waukegan, IL passed away on July 4th at Manor Care Nursing Home in Northbrook, IL. She was born on August 31, 1924 in Waukegan. She was a member if KSKJ, St. Mary's #79.

Angela is survived by three daughters; Judy (Dan) LaBeda of Minnetonka, MN, Sharon (Bruce) Lasswell of Dinwiddee, VA, and Mary (Gary) Ewert of Palatine, IL, five grandchildren; Ben, Elizabeth and Ann LeBeda, and Sarah and John Lasswell, a greatgranddaughter Evelyn Jean, and one brother Fred Mickus.

She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2004, five brothers; Joseph, Paul, Anthony, Victor, and Edward, and one sister Matilda.

Mass of Christian burial will be on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 10:00am at Queen of Peace Church, 910 14th Street, North Chicago, IL. Rev. James Merold will be the Celebrant. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 7, 2011 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Prayers on Friday morning at 9:30 am at the funeral home and leaving for 10:00 am Mass. Memorials in Angela's name may be made to your favorite charity.
