Denica Denise Colin, 57 of Lindenhurst, passed away on Wednesday, July 15th, 2026 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville.Denica was born April 14th, 1969 in Zion, Illinois. Throughout her life, Denica was ahardworking woman amongst various professions, such as retail, hospitality, and labor/factorywork. She attended St. Paul Apostle Church in Gurnee. She loved to bake, cook, watch old andnew movies, do puzzles, take walks, listen to rock n’ roll and other genres, and spend time withher family.She survived by her father, Trinidad Esparza Jr. in Gurnee, Illinois; her three sons, AnthonyColin and his family, wife Cynthia Lopez-Colin, daughter Jazmine Colin, son Joshua Colin,daughter Jayleen Colin, and daughter Julianna Colin; Zackery Colin, and Edward Esparza; twodaughters, Jazmine (welcomed into an adoptive family) and Ivorie Esparza, in Lindenhurst,Illinois; her grandson, Geardo Prince Morales-Esparza; and two brothers, Trinidad Esparza IIIand Troy Tobias Esparza.She was preceded in death by mother, Mary Louise Esparza and granddaughter, Zara GenesisMorales-Esparza. The wake will be celebrated from 5:00pm to 8:00pm on Sunday, July 26th,2026 at Bradley Funeral Home, 313 10th Street, North Chicago; and the Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Monday, July 27th, 2026 at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road,Gurnee, followed by the burial at Ascension Catholic Cemetery and Mausoleum, 1920 Buckley Rd., Libertyville, IL.
