Gabriela Martinez (nee Tellez), 55, of North Chicago, IL. passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. Gabriela was a Librarian for the North Chicago Library for twenty years. She was a very active member of Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Queen of Peace Church in North Chicago. She taught Catechism for children in the 'Spred' Program, which is a ministry in the Archdiocese of Chicago that works with children with special needs.

She is survived by her husband of twenty nine years, Alfredo Martinez, her son Alfredo, her daughter Leah, her three grandchildren; Julian, Camila, and Sofia Martinez, her two brothers; Miguel (Teresa) Tellez, and Antonio (Edith) Tellez, and her five sisters; Norma Tellez, Guadalupe Tellez, Magdalena (Cesar) Tellez, Dolores Tellez, and Rebecca Tellez.

Visitation will be on Thursday, March 27, 2025 here at the Funeral Home from 5:00 until 8:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, March 28, 2025 at 10:00 am at Queen of Peace Church, 910 14th Street, North Chicago, IL. Bishop Timothy O'Malley will celebrate the Mass. She will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. immediately following the Mass.
