George Stoltengofas, 89, of Round Lake Beach, IL. and formerly of Waukegan, IL. passed away suddenly at home on Friday, April 8, 2016. He was born on February 17, 1927 in Lithuania. He was a former twenty five year employee of Abbott Laboratories and also a long time member of St. Bartholomew Church (now Holy Family Church) in Waukegan. George loved sports and had a special love for hockey and football.

He is survived by his wife of twenty years, Roma (nee Virbalas); one niece, Ilona Hirn of Waukegan; his great nephew, Joseph (Paola) Hirn of Chicago; his great niece Christina (Steven) Arseneau of Michigan; his great great nephew, Theo, his great great niece, Eleanor, and his niece in law, Elaine Saulius.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Erna (nee Twarinskas); his sister, Lidia Saulius; two nephews, Edward and Rimantas Saulius, and his parents, August and Maria.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 10:30 am at Holy Family Church, 450 Keller Ave., Waukegan, IL. Visitation will be one hour prior to Mass, starting at 9:30 am at the church. He will be laid to rest at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago, IL.
