Irene Kelly (nee Stolarik), 91, of North Chicago, IL., where she had been a lifelong resident, passed away on Friday, December 21, 2108 at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL. She retired from Abbott Laboratory after 42 years of employment.  She was a member of the Waukegan Moose Lodge 706, a member of the North Chicago Seniors Club, a volunteer at the Soup Kitchen, and a former member of Most Blessed Trinity Parish/Queen of Peace Church in North Chicago. She was currently a member of St. Patrick Church in Wadsworth, IL. Her life was well lived, using her love of God, hardworking ethics, strength, independence, and heart of gold to help everyone she encountered.  After 90 years of giving, she thankfully accepted the well-deserved help from others.  She was forever grateful to her family and guardians, but the love, strength and assurance she received from her caregiver Kim, was truly a gift from God.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents; John and Barbara, five brothers; Steven, Michael, John, Joseph, and Rudy, and three sisters; Viola, Anna, and Mildred.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Patrick Church, 15000 W. Wadsworth Rd., Wadsworth, IL.  She will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.  Visitation will be on Friday, December 28, 2018 from 4:00 until 7:00 pm at the Church.
