Janet M. Grigutis, 83, of Waukegan, IL passed away on Sunday, May 22, 2022 at Vista East Medical Center in Waukegan. She was born on June 6, 1938 in Waukegan of which she was a lifelong resident.  Janet was a member of St. Dismas Catholic Church in Waukegan and belonged to St. Dismas Womens' Club. She worked in the Clerical Dept. at Electronic Supply Office in Great Lakes, IL for thirty four years. She loved animals and attending to her house plants. Janet lost her battle with cancer, which she courageously fought for six years. She will be dearly missed.  She is survived by her sister Barbara Venisnik, two nephews; Bradley (Julie) Venisnik and Jason Venisnik, and five great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother in law John Venisnik.  Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10:00 am at St. Dismas Catholic Church, 2600 Sunset Ave., Waukegan. Fr. James Merold will be the Presider. Visitation will be at the church beginning at 9:00 am until the time of Mass. She will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.  In lieu of flowers please send memorials in Janet's name to: The American Cancer Society or to St. Dismas Church.
