Jeffrey H. Markey, 75, of Gurnee, IL passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021, at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born in Maywood, IL on November 10, 1945. Colonel Markey graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 1967 and retired from the USAF after 20 years of service as a Civil Engineer, including serving in Vietnam.  Beloved husband of Kathy (nee Zech), loving father of Anne (Paul) Rice, Jeff (Joanne), Amy (Randy) Emery, and Michael (Samantha). Devoted grandfather of Katherine, Caroline, Cole, Elizabeth, Drew, Logan and Evelyn and loving brother of Jennifer. He was preceded in death by two brothers, baby Thomas and Chris. A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, October 4, 2021 at 12:00 pm at St. Patrick Church, 15000 W. Wadsworth Rd, Wadsworth, IL. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of Mass at the church.
