Nicolasa Garcia, of North Chicago, IL., 74, passed away on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at home surrounded by her loving family. Nicolasa was a  stay at home mom, and her greatest happiness was to be surrounded by her family and to have family get togethers. She is survived by her loving spouse of 40 years Aureo, her children; Mario Salgado, Lorena Solano, Lourdes Solano, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and many extended family members. She was preceded in death by her step mother Sophia Avela. Visitation will be on Friday, May 9, 2025 from 5:00 until 8:00pm here at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, May 10, 2025 at 10:00am at Holy Family Church, 450 Keller Ave., Waukegan, IL. She will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL. immediately following the Mass.
