Patricia Rose Moran (Pat) passed away at Advocate Condell Medical Center on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. She was 95 years old. She was born on August 17, 1930 at Lake Forest Hospital and was a life long area resident. She graduated from St. Mary Elementary school in Lake Forest in 1944, Lake Forest High School in 1948, and Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. in 1975 taking night classes. After graduating from High School, she worked in the Lake Forest High School Office, and from there at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Downey, IL. retiring in 1991, beginning as a clerk in the Dietary Department and retiring in the Director's Office working in Quality Care. She was a member of the International Management Council (IMC) affiliated with the YMCA. As the Medical Center Director she recruited the first All Woman's Chapter in Lake County and went on to become the first woman President of the Council and Chairman of the Board. Working with IMC lead to management exchanges and much travel internationally. Pat was an almost indispensable member of Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan, from serving as Sacristan to Administrator of the Parish for the year of 2006 after the death of Fr. Frank Plotka. She represented the Archdiocese Pastoral Council Division 4 under Francis Cardinal George for several years and then became Minister of Care in 1993, and Bereavement Minister in 2009. She received two 'Woman of the Year' awards in 1997 and 2016 at the input of the Parish's Altar and Rosary Society of which she belonged, and a special reward for taking over administration of the Parish in 2006. She is survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members. Visitation will be on Thursday, September 18, 2025 at 10:00am at Immaculate Conception Church, 508 Grand Ave., Waukegan, IL up to the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery immediately following.
