Robert J Belec, 68, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Bull Shoals, Arkansas on Monday, May 16, 2022. Born January 13, 1954, Robbie grew up in North Chicago, IL attending Mother of God Grade School in Waukegan and North Chicago High School. He worked as a maintenance engineer at Baxter Labs and later at Abbott Labs in North Chicago until his retirement. He then moved to Arkansas where he enjoyed the warmer weather and going fishing on Bull Shoals Lake. Robbie was a skilled auto mechanic and repairman who could fix anything. He loved music and enjoyed playing his guitar and piano. He was devoted to his Catholic faith and he deeply missed his Mother and Aunts Ann and Mary, all who have recently passed. He is survived by his sisters Cathie (Mike) Malone, Ruth (Jon) Olander, and Maribeth (Greg) Mazzetta, aunt and godmother Josephine (the late Arthur) Isaacson, many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends, and also his special Arkansas friends Carin and Bill Vostatek and Tim Walker. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Theresa, Aunts Ann and Mary Janocha, Uncles Ted and Tony Janocha and Art Isaacson, and cousins Andy Janocha and Ann Lakiotis. We will miss you big brother. You are at peace now with the Lord. Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be on Saturday June 25,2022 at 10am at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 910 14 ^th St, North Chicago, IL. He will be inurned at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. immediately following the Mass.
