Sam K. Beetham Jr., 80, of Waukegan, IL passed away on Friday, November 5, 2021 at NorthShore Evanston Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He graduated from Ohio State University and began his career in the education field, moving on to retire from the Illinois Dept. of Transportation. Sam loved 'The Ohio State Buckeyes', was an avid country music fan, and was often looking forward to his next vacation excursion.

He is survived by his long time significant other and domestic partner, Marjorie Lavely,  children; Mary Pratt of Leander, Texas, and Chris (Janet) Beetham of Island Lake, IL. , his grandchildren; Joseph Pratt, C.J. Beetham and Hannah Beetham, his step children; Janet (Michael) Bicanic, Kim (Bill) Fuesting, and Sean Lavely all of Waukegan, several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren, his beloved furry friend, Bark-Lee and many other extended family and friends. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by his sister, Eleanor Harvey and an infant son, Nathaniel.

Visitation and Funeral Service will be on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 with the Visitation beginning at 10:00 am and the Funeral Service at 12:00 pm here at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Northshore Garden of Memories.
