Theresa M. Pirozek, 82, of Winthrop Harbor, IL. and formerly of North Chicago, IL. passed away peacefully at home on Monday, April 10, 2023. Theresa was born in Poland on April 22, 1940. She was an elementary school teacher in North Chicago for 35 plus years, retiring at age 60 after a full teaching career. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Education at Alverno College in Milwaukee, WI, and a Master's Degree in Music at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club of Lake County. She was a lifetime member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church in North Chicago, and also a member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Waukegan, IL, being a member of the Choir of both parishes and the Choir Director for Queen of Peace Church. She is survived by her best friend, Liz (John) Krpan of Winthrop Harbor. She was preceded in death by her mother, Otylia in 2015. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 10:00 am at Most Blessed Trinity Parish, Queen of Peace Church, 910 14 ^th St., North Chicago, IL. Visitation will be an hour before Mass beginning at 9:00 am at the church. She will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
