Thomas F. Banick, 61, of Wadsworth, IL passed away peacefully at his home on June 1, 2022.  Tom was a loving and devoted husband to Maggi (nee Dabkey); a proud and loving father to his two sons; David (Karen) and Kevin and the most loving and silly PePaw to his two granddaughters; Josephine and Alice.  Tom was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Christine (nee Raudonis) Banick.  He was a kind and loyal brother to Richard and John and Uncle to many nieces and nephews.  Born and raised in Waukegan, IL Tom attended Waukegan High School and Triton College, obtaining a degree in Print Design.  This was the beginning of Tom's lifelong career in print and where he met the love of his life, Maggi.  Tom's career at Lake County Press in Waukegan, IL spanned 43 years.  Tom loved his job and his knowledge and expertise in color and prepress design was appreciated by all who worked with him.  Anyone who knew Tom knew he always had something cooking!  Tom treated everyone like family, his house was always open, and he genuinely loved helping people.  Tom was a self taught wood worker, and his eye for detail made him a master at creating many pieces for friends and family.  Tom's generosity was unmatched, and his life was a reflection of his love for his family and friends.  Tom will be dearly missed by many. The Visitation will be on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 5:00 until 8:00 pm at the Church of St. Patrick, 15000 W. Wadsworth Rd, Wadsworth, IL.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at the church on Monday, June 6, 2022 at 11:00 am. He will be laid to rest at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville, IL.
