Bradley Funeral Home is a small family-owned and operated funeral home. David Bradley, Owner and Operator of the funeral home, graduated from Worsham Mortuary College in 1987 and worked in Elk Grove Village, IL for Grove Memorial Chapel for several years before becoming the primary funeral director and embalmer for the firm. His dream was to someday own and operate his own funeral home. Upon discovering that a funeral home in their general area was for sale, he and his wife Terri wasted no time gathering the details. They purchased the "old Petroshius" funeral home in May of 1995 from a family that had been in the funeral business since 1911. After a fire destroyed the original funeral home in the late 1930's the Petroshius family built the existing funeral home in 1939. Terri Bradley is the co-owner and acting administrator of the funeral home. She handles many of the "behind the scenes" office duties as well as working directly with families, before, during, and after the funeral. "Dave and I have always considered this industry to be a ministry to families, taking into consideration their individual needs financially, spiritually, and personally. Our mission statement is: 'Dedicated to Care with Compassion', which is our constant focus in servicing our families. We are able to service our families personally from the first call until final disposition, unlike corporately owned funeral homes. This isn't just a 'business' for us; it's a 'calling'. We service each family as we would our own."
